Laser treatment in the winter
In the winter, our skin is paler than in the summer. This is the right time to treat pigmentation and couperose with the help of lasers. Winter time, with little to no sunshine, is the perfect time to help our skin recover, because our skin will have plenty of time to unwind.
The result is a beautiful, smooth skin.
Peelings are also treatments that you can best undergo during the winter. During this period, the old skin layer is replaced with a new, fresh layer of skin. As soon as it is summer again and the first rays of the sun hit your skin, you will be enjoying a smooth, lightly tanned skin.
Your skin and winter cold
In the winter, it is important to protect your skin properly against the cold. A lot of people – especially women – get cracks in their fingers. This is because the skin is very dry. When the air is also dry in the winter, your skin dries out terribly. You are quick to grab the tub of vaseline to take care of your skin. However, this is not advisable. Unfortunately, vaseline does not offer any nourishment for your skin because it is very poorly absorbed by it.
It is much better to avoid a greasy ointment or cream and instead scrub the skin. While scrubbing, you remove dead cells. If you then proceed to apply a less greasy cream, the problem will solve itself and you will end up having a softer skin.
Be patient during the winter. Make sure that the humidity in your home does not drop too much (this happens especially when the heating is turned on) – otherwise, purchase a humidifier or place a bowl of water near the heating.
It takes some work, but of course it is very much rewarding. By the time your skin survived the winter, you will be enjoying a healthy, smooth and soft skin.
