The purpose of permanent make is to apply the exact right colour in the right spot, making sure to look your very best. In order to be applied precisely the beauty technician needs to be skilful and the used equipment needs to be of the highest quality.
Your Beauté Totale specialist works with the Intelligent High Definition, the most advanced device dedicated specifically to permanent make up, in a safe and sterile environment. Gemeentelijke Gezondheidsdienst (GGD)
In order to be able to apply permanent make up, a permit is required. The GGD (the governmental healthcare institution) has awarded Beauté Totale with this permit after a strict inspection.
With permanent make up you can correct or accentuate your lips. The most common use of permanent make up is to create a symmetrical look with lips that are uneven. You can opt for an actual lip liner in any colour you desire, or you can choose a more natural liner which only helps to define the contours of your lips. There is also the possibility to have a shadow effect applied to your lips; making them look fuller. Or have colour applied to your entire lips; making the use of lipstick redundant.
Eyelids and lashes define your eyes. Achieving a striking look with regular make up can be difficult and can look overdone. With permanent make up you can change and enhance the way your eyes look by using different colours. By applying pigmentation between your lashes a natural and striking look can be created. Eyes that are too big or small can also be brought back optically to the right proportions, complimenting your face. Beautiful eyes, all the time, without having to worry about smudged make up. Eye brows Thinning and/or irregular growth of eyebrows can be completely corrected with permanent make up, achieving a perfect shape and look which only make up artist scan do. Any scars located in your eyebrows can also be camouflaged. Have you over plucked your brows and are now left with almost no eyebrows? With permanent make up you undo the damage and have a beautiful complete look again.
Besides the cosmetic use, permanent make up is often used for medical purposes as well. One of the most important uses is creating a natural and realistic areola. After having breast surgery you can create an entire new areola with permanent make up. You can also apply pigments to enhance the colour of the remaining areola.
At Beauté Totale we strive to achieve the best possible results. We start off with an intake where your medical background, health and wishes are discussed. Before we start pigmenting we always create the desired look with regular make up. The next step is to pick the right colour. We do not start pigmenting until you are absolutely satisfied with the look that has been created. The first week after your treatment theapplied pigment will be notably darker than the desired look. In the weeks after the intensity ofthe colour will decrease by around 40%. Through natural cell renewal the definite results of your treatment will be visible after 3-5 weeks.
In order to achieve optimal end results, a significantly darker pigment will be applied. Keep in mind that your make up (such as eyebrows) will be notable darker than usual during the first few days. Do not undergo a permanent make up treatment in the days before you have an important event you need to attend. It’s better to have the procedure well in advance, or after your event.
Hygiene & UV light
For hygiene reasons you shouldn’t visit a sauna or have a swim in the sea or swimmingupool in the first 8 days after your treatment. As long as your skin hasn’t healed completely, the applied pigments are extremely sensitive to UV light. For this reason you shouldn’t use a tanning bed or expose your skin to long periods of sunlight in the first 8 days after your treatment. Keep this is mind when you are booking your holiday!
The first few days after your treatment
Directly after applying permanent make up you can experience a light swelling of the skin area which was treated. This swelling disappears within a few hours. Because pigment is applied into your skin, tiny scabs can appear which are hardy noticeable. Do not remove these scabs! Because the scabs need to fall off by themselves it is advised to avoid using regular make up during the first couple of days.
