Some people always look very healthy and fresh, having what looks like permanent ‘rosy cheeks’. Chances are that they suffer from thread veins and are not so happy with it. An innocent condition, which you can suffer, apart from those eternal blushes! Of course there are very good camouflage creams that you can use to camouflage the thread veins, but it’s never ideal. Fortunately, we can do something about it!
What is the cause of the thread veins?
The cause of the thread veins lies in the fact that the superficial veins in your skin are too weak. This causes the veins to dilate. Because they are on the surface, you get the ‘red blushes’.
Other annoying red spots
Except for the thread veins there are also other annoying red spots that you can have because of those dysfunctional small blood vessels on the surface of your skin.
Many of these spots can be treated in the same way as the thread veins. Some examples:
- Wine stain
- Spider naevus
- Cherry gum
- Stork bite
- Red cheeks (flushing)
How do I get those weak veins?
There are several causes for the weak veins that cause the rosacea
- You often see that rosacea occurs in a family;
- Skin type. People with fair skin are more likely to suffer from rosacea.
- Too many UV rays, so actually because of too much sunlight.
- Excessive use of alcohol.
- Large temperature fluctuations.
With Beauté Totale making short work with rosacea
With the help of the Harmony XL we can ensure that you can live without the blushes or other annoying red spots! Many people already went before you and already enjoy their ‘new look’. Nice without that eternal camouflage make-up and the silly jokes on birthdays.
During the treatment, we make use of pulsed light of 540 nanometers or of laser light of 1064 nanometers. In the intake interview, we will examine which method we have to use to achieve the best possible results for you.
Is the treatment safe?
We work with the Harmony XL from Alma Lasers. This is an extremely safe device, with which we can redeem you in a very effective way of the thread veins and other unwanted red spots. The surrounding tissue will not be damaged during the treatment. Before the device was put on the market, it was extensively tested and approved by the FDA*.
How many treatments are needed?
After two treatments you generally see a significant improvement. Depending on the thread veins or stain(s) to be treated, between 2 and 5 treatments are generally required. There is always a period of three weeks or longer between treatments.
Are the thread veins definitely gone?
After the treatments with the Harmony XL, the thread veins or stain we treated will be definitely gone. Unfortunately, we cannot take away the cause. So it is possible that after some time you will again experience dysfunctional blood vessels with all the consequences.
That is why we always advise to strengthen the skin after the treatment by using the right care products. We also have the equipment to strengthen the skin extra and thus prevent from new red veins. Feel free to ask about the various possibilities for skin firming.
How does the skin react to the treatment?
The skin may be red and slightly irritated immediately after the treatment. You can compare it a bit with sunburn. Cold compresses can then bring relief. After a few hours this is generally gone again.
As a result of the treatment some swelling may occur, or small scabs may develop. This will disappear automatically after about 7 to 10 days. If desired, you can camouflage this with make-up. You also often see that the veins have become darker because of the treatment, but that is not necessary. In itself that is a good sign. This way you can see that the treatment has touched the veins and that they will soon disappear.
Are complications possible?
No complications are to be expected from this treatment. If you suffer from eczema or a cold sore where you will be treated, it may happen that this will be stirred up a little.
